Smoking basil

This is not something that comes recommended.

Like just about any other substance in existence basil can be smoked easily in a bong. I briefly experimented with fresh and dried basil.

Both produce sweet smelling fumes that are very pleasant. Fresh leaves were tricky to get burning, and dried basil burnt too quickly, producing large quanities of green coloured dense smoke.

In terms of narcotic effect basil is of little or no use. I felt a slight dizziness afterwards, I couldn't say this was a good or bad feeling though. I have not researched the clinical effects of smoking basil - it is very unlikely that they will be documented.
