Guns
On a canal barge, buy an automatic pistol, but end has to be sawn down to stop a silencer being used. Speculating on how silencers are just a bandpass filter to stop the most of the white-noise that occurs during an explosion.

it could also be implemented as an FIR filter with all zero coeffcients, then you would hear nothing... a perfect silencer, other than the fact it's in software and not the real world.
